The Kama Sutra, written by the Indian sage Vatsyayana, is an ancient Indian guide to love and sex. "Kama" stands for the name of the Hindu god of love, but is also the word for sensual pleasure. "Sutra", in this context, means "formula" or "rule", resulting in a guide or manual.
However, Kama Sutra is not just purely a sex manual. It is also a guide to a gracious life, reflecting on sex, love, family life and pleasure oriented aspects of life. According to Vatsyayana, lovers should not only collect flowers together, but also... play cards.
All cards of this deck are each illustrated with a different image of Kama Sutra sculptures in the Khajuraho temples in India.
